Our Mission
A new way forward
We are creating a collaborative information hub and community where indie authors connect, support one another, and share real-world guidance from first draft to publication. Together, we are strengthening relationships, cutting out systems that no longer serve us, and building direct, professional partnerships with bookstores to ensure bold South African voices receive the visibility they deserve, reshaping the indie publishing landscape for the better.
Who we are
SAIAA
The South African Indie Authors Association (SAIAA) exists so that no indie author has to navigate the publishing world alone. We bring writers together in a welcoming, supportive community where knowledge is shared openly, collaboration is encouraged, and growth is nurtured over the long term.
By learning from one another and standing side by side, we help authors build confidence, strengthen their professional presence, help broaden their reach, and find their rightful place within South Africa’s vibrant book industry.
