Leonie Vermaak

My name is Leonie Vermaak and I am an avid reader from the age of 9. Reading books has always been my escape from reality, and I’m sure many readers can relate to this statement.  I’ve always said that if I could get paid to read books, that it would make my dreams come true…and guess what?? In 2021 thanks to a friend of mine, I actually found a company that did pay me to read and review books…crazy right?? But true nonetheless. This is where the snowball effect started, from reviewer, to having my own company, where we supply services like, beta/ARC/Proofreading and editing. I’m also working towards adding extra services in the near future.

The reason why I joined SAIAA/HIVE as an Ambassador is because they are an amazing bunch of peeps. They are my kind of people so to speak…those who help, support and stand beside you whenever you need it. But besides for all of that, the work they do for the South African Indie authors is mind-blowing to say the least. SAIAA/HIVE restored my faith in mankind again…that we can stand together and rise! This is something I want to be a part of.
