Ambassador Newsletter – 14 April 2026

This week in SAIAA/Hive, from me, Lee… yeah, no one sat still. It was full steam ahead, in your face, no time to overthink kind of energy. Things were moving fast. Connections were made. Bonds got stronger. And you can feel it… we’re not just building individually anymore.

We rise together.

Watch this space. South Africa hasn’t seen anything yet, especially in the author scene.

So, let’s get into it.

Our Book Hive Club read of S.C. Hatton is coming to a close, and I’ll say it straight… I’d give it a solid 4.5 stars. I really enjoyed it. I could relate in parts, and the twist… yeah. I’m not saying more. Go read it.

And I’m not being biased. Ask anyone. I’ll be honest about anything, not just books. It’s a blessing and a curse… giggles.

We’ll be going live for the members-only Zoho call on Tuesday the 14th at 7pm.

This past Tuesday, the 7th of April, the ambassadors went live, Michaela, Azaria, and myself. We spoke about what actually goes into a book before it’s released. Editing, formatting, building a street team… the real work behind it. Not the polished version. The actual version.

Magical Enchantment by Sloane Noir has been making its rounds across the ambassadors’ pages and inside the Local Book Hive. If you haven’t seen it yet, go take a look.

Caz Luan also has things happening on her side, so go check out her page properly.

Mzanzi Cupcakes, with Shavonne Bulmar, is running a competition on her page. Go support this glitter queen because she deserves all the love, she is amazing inside and out.

Chené Tuck is running a giveaway on the Local Book Hive, so make sure you check that out as well.

Blood and Salt by Angela Candler is everywhere right now. If you haven’t seen it yet, go look at my page. It releases in June, ARC readers are in, and I’m genuinely excited to see the feedback come through. I already know where I stand. It’s a strong read.

We’ve also got ARC readers in for Injustice by Tarien van Tonder, and that’s another one building quietly in the background.

The Writing Room Chapters is open, more on this on our Facebook page.

And then… The Hive Hub is coming. This is something bigger. Something that’s actually going to support creators, authors, and writers in a real way. More on that soon.

There’s a lot happening. And it’s not slowing down.
